If you’re in the mood for Mexican cuisine, you’ll definitely want check this place out. After reading through Guadalajara’s Yelp reviews, it looks like they’re known for having really good tacos and some great tasting pico de gallo. One of the Yelp reviewers stated that her husband really enjoyed the authenticity of the food and did not experience any heartburn the following day, so that’s always good news!

If you’re in town for court on a Tuesday, Guadalajara’s has a weekly “Taco Tuesday” special that includes 3 tacos and a beer. The weekly Wednesday special is a $5 burrito and if you show up on Friday, you can get $6 nachos with a choice of one meat.

One thing I’ve always loved about Black Bear Diner is the huge portion sizes that never disappoint! This restaurant is known for having homestyle and “old-fashioned” comfort foods with solid serving sizes across the menu.

I’ve always loved eating gorditas at any Taqueria I go to, but it’s usually pretty hard to find a place that does it right. Thankfully, Taqueria Quetzal has the formula for a good gordita!

El Charro

One must-have for every taqueria I frequent is grade-A chips and salsa, which El Charro definitely has. If I were to choose a favorite meal from here, it would be the chili relleno and a side of homemade tortillas!

Father Paddy’s

Every town needs an Irish pub, and I’m glad that Father Paddy’s is the local Woodland joint. If you’re craving Irish comfort food in an amazing pub atmosphere, definitely check this place out!

If you’re a fan of high-quality spirits, they have a vault with 90 hand-selected varieties of Whiskey. If you get a sandwich, make sure to ask for a side of their homemade beer cheese sauce!

If you’re in the mood for Asian cuisine but don’t feel like eating Chinese – you might be interested in the Thai restaurant, Bangkok Cuisine.

The House of Shah is a new ethnic place by the courthouse that dubs their style of food, “Afghan Urban Eats”. If you’re not looking to eat traditional Afghan food, no worries – they have burgers with a global twist!

I got the sirloin beef kabob plate and really enjoyed the two dipping sauces it came with – house made yogurt and mint chutney. The salad that the dish came with was packed with flavor and the produce was also fresh, so I’d definitely opt for this if trying to eat a light lunch.

This Taqueria is started off as a burger joint but eventually came to be known as one of the best places to get Tacos in Woodland. According to Yelp reviews, the steak taco meat is really juicy and the smoky pork is full of flavor.

Any Taqueria with great tasting salsa verde (green salsa) makes me an automatic fan, so the reviews got me into the door but the salsa made me stay! Almost every review on Yelp is a raving testimonial for tacos, so I’d definitely give those a shot if you’re in the area for court.

Burger Saloon
